Fun with Tim Holtz Burlap Canvas

Oh Happy day! Hanging in the studio today, finishing up an album for a dear friend who just became a Grandmother a few days before her 65th birthday. Then it's on to the next project...but you'll have to wait a few days then I'll tell you what I'm up to.

I so enjoyed making this for George for Father's Day.  He really likes it especially the pulleys & the fish he 'caught.' lol

I'll leave you with a favorite quote of mine.

'When you arise in the morning,
think of what a precious privilege it is
to be alive -
to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.'

Phase II Steampunk Coffee Grinder

Happy Thursday! Hope you all are well & out of the gate creating fabulous fun stuff!

I haven't had much time or energy to devote to the Coffee Grinder, but here's a sneak peak before it all goes together.

I love me everything TIm Holtz... this French Industrial paper line is AMAZING!
It was fun & challenging working with the beaded metals
Flap opens to a card which will read : 'I drink coffee for your protection.' Truth!
These book plates are gorgeous. One of the things I hoard in my stash, but not anymore. If I love it, I will use it!
Wouldn't be a Tim Holtz inspired project for me without the use of metal wings & a crown.
Just love how the metal of all shapes, sizes & finishes play so well together.
This handle, really? So much fun!
Needing a wee bit more TLC & one final POP of creativity & it will be complete so please check back next week for the Big Finale ;)

If you like the products I used here, check out Tim Holtz @  www.timholtz.com  & take a journey through his site, blog & his tutorials are amazing!

Have a remarkable weekend, tell those you love that you do, get your hands inky, & let your mind soar!

First Draft

Hello! Better late than never? No!  Apologies for being tardy in posting this Steampunk first draft project. The learning process always intrigues me...always so much to note, to redo, to just sit & think about how could it be done better? However it turns out, good, bad or ugly, I so enjoy the creative process.

Coffee grinder. Made with chip board & grundge board.
All kinds of fun Tim Holtz stuff going on! All of which can be purchased here www.scrapbook.com
I loved playing with the layering of Distress Ink, Distress Stain & stamping with Distress Paints.
Love this Stampers Anonymous MIXED MEDIA CMS125 set from the Tim Holtz Collection. It can be found here www.stampersanonymous.com along with so many other fun sets.
I took apart the Tim Holtz Idea-ology Assemblage Clock to get the rounded top.
And a little pieces of this & that.

Next round, I know what I'll do better & I'm excited to embark on it next week.
Thanks for stopping by. I know you have limited time & I appreciate you taking it to check in with me & this fun crazy hyper journey!

Have an amazing day!
